Implementation of sustainable agriculture in Kutchh district of Gujarat awareness of sustainable agriculture is being reached with more than 10,000 farmers in disaster prone area Rapar.

·         To develop processing & marketing systems

 

 

Feedback

·         300 farmers have developed compost pits.

·         63 acres of  wasteland has been converted into 9 fodder plots in 9 villages

·         8 horticulture plots of mango chiku, Kharek Ber amla have been developed by the farmer

·         To recharge the ground water two water harvesting structure have been developed by the farmers which increased the water table by 1 to 2.5 ft.

·         Farmers practicing sustainable agriculture are getting more prices for their produce due to the linkages with the market and marketing agencies. 

·         Now the farmers are negotiating in the market to fetch a good price for their organic produce.

·         300 acres of land have been brought under the soil and water conservation.
