Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA) is a voluntary development organization founded in 1984 with a goal to intervene in issues of social justice. YUVA empowers the oppressed and the marginalized by facilitating their organizations and institutions towards building equal partnerships in the development process ensuring the fulfillment of their human right to live in security, dignity and peace. The Organisation is accredited as an NGO with General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

YUVA is looking for a Community Organiser to work under its Program of Child Rights & Participation.

Job involves building Children’s Organization (of children from slum, pavement and street communities) to work on their rights to housing, education, health and protection. Work should also entail documentation of field processes. He should have an understanding and Knowledge of Child Rights like CRC, JJ, etc. He should be able to conduct group activities. He should be able to build and strengthen Children's Organization

Desired Qualification and Experience: The candidate should be H.S.C with qualification of Para Professional Course or B.A.(Sociology) or B.S.W. with minimum 2-3 yrs. in the relevant field of Child Rights.  The person needs to have good documentation and communication skills in Marathi / Hindi.  Working knowledge of English and basics of computers is must.

Location: The position is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
