Short- Term Assignments
Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA) is a voluntary development organization founded in 1984 with a goal to intervene in issues of social justice. YUVA empowers the oppressed and the marginalized by facilitating their organizations and institutions towards building equal partnerships in the development process ensuring the fulfillment of their human right to live in security, dignity and peace. The Organisation is accredited as an NGO with General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council
YUVA is looking for candidates for following two short-term assignments:
1) Policy Researcher for the Program on “Youth Empowerment and Youth Rights”
The work involves conceptualisation and implementation of a study on Employment and Self-employment Schemes/ policies for SC/ST/OBC and Minority Youth through survey and literature review.
2) Policy Analyst for a Program on “Women Empowerment and Women Rights”
The work involves:
● analysis of survey data on the implementation of the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, loopholes in the scheme and and other policies related to Women and Poverty Reduction, with a view to providing recommendations for better implementation of the scheme, as well as other women and poverty reduction programmes.
Eligibility for both the posts:
a) The candidate should possess Post Graduation in Social Work / Sociology.
b) Needs to have at least two years of experience in Policy Research and Analysis, especially in the context of policies related to Youth and Women respectively. Should have good English writing and communication skills, working knowledge of Hindi and Marathi will be given preference
Location : Both the positions are based in Mumbai
Emoluments : Negotiable depends on experience and competence.
